Russian-led armed formations fire 85 mortars and shells into Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian occupation forces violated ceasefire seven times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day. 

“The enemy used 122mm artillery and 120mm mortars, firing 85 shells and mortars,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, invaders used 122mm artillery and 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); 120mm mortars – outside Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired grenade launchers of different systems on Ukrainian defenders near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk); hand-held antitank and automatic mounted grenade launchers and small arms – in the area of Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk); small arms – outside Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk), Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Novhorodske (35km north of Donetsk).

One Ukrainian serviceman was killed and another one was wounded in last day.

According to the intelligence, two militants were killed and three more were wounded on February 25.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire agreements.
