Volker presents website about Russia's aggression in Ukraine

U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker has presented a website with information about Russian aggression in Ukraine.

"Please see our new website “Countering Russia's Aggression in Ukraine” - an innovative effort to use satellite imagery, maps, and stats to detail impact of Russian aggression in Ukraine," Volker posted on Twitter.

As noted on the website, “in the wake of Ukraine's 2013-2014 Revolution of Dignity, Russia illegally seized and occupied Crimea and started an armed conflict in eastern Ukraine.  Five years on, Russia continues to arm, train, lead, and fight alongside the anti-government forces in eastern Ukraine, while falsely insisting it is not a party to the conflict.”

In addition, one can get acquainted with the timeline of key events — from the occupation of Crimea and start of the war in Donbas in 2014 till the attack of Russian FSB border guard ships on three Ukrainian Navy vessels in the Black Sea in November 2018.

As reported, Volker repeatedly emphasized that Russia had been violating the Minsk agreements for four years already. "Four years ago, Russia signed the Minsk package of agreements, in which the first provision was the ceasefire on February 14 [2015]. In about a week, Russia and its proxies seized Debaltseve. Over the past four years, Russia has been violating the Minsk agreements on a daily basis," he said.
