Russian-backed militants launched nine attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched nine attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements six times, on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

“In the zone of action of the tactical force East, the enemy fired antitank missile systems on Ukrainian troops near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk), 120mm mortars – near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), 82mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of the tactical force North, militants used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions in the area of Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), 82mm mortars – near Nyzhnie (56 north-west of Luhansk), 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk), 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns – near Zolote-1 (60km west of Luhansk), mounted grenade launchers and ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft machine gun – near Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk), heavy anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – near Popasna (69km west of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian serviceman was killed, and other two were wounded in shelling over the past day.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.
