Militants launched 12 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 12 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements eight times, on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, the enemy fired 82mm and 120mm mortars on Ukrainian troops near Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); 120mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, militants used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions in the area of Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk) and Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk).

One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in shelling over the past day.

According to the intelligence, one militant was killed and one more was wounded on February 11.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

Ukrainian defenders continue to control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire agreements.
