Militants launched nine attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched nine attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements three times, on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, the enemy fired 120mm mortars and tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); 82mm mortars – in the area of Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); small arms – near Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘North’, militants used 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian troops in the area of Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms – near Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); heavy machine guns – near Staryi Aidar (20km north-west of Luhansk); heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Svitlodarsk (57km north-east of Donetsk).

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported over the past day.

According to the intelligence, one militant was killed and two more were wounded on February 10.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.
