Militants launched six attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched six attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements twice, on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, the enemy fired 82mm mortars, BMP-2, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers near Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘North’, militants used 82mm mortars and grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian positions near Kriakivka (38km north-west of Luhansk); automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – outside Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk); heavy machine guns and small arms – near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in enemy shelling over the past day.

According to the intelligence, one militant was killed and two more were wounded on January 31.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.
