Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy continued to use weapons banned under the Minsk agreements. In particular, militants fired 82mm mortars on JFO positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Vodiane (19km north-east of Mariupol),” reads the report of the JFO Headquarters press center.

Militants also used BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian troops near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Slavne (25km south-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk) and Vodiane (15km north-west of Donetsk).

Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in military hostilities over the past day.

According to the intelligence, eight invaders were killed and three more were wounded on December 16.

Today, the enemy has already shelled Ukrainian positions near Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol).
