Militants launched 14 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 14 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy continued to use weapons banned under the Minsk agreements. In particular, militants used 82mm mortars to shell JFO positions near Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk) and Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk). The enemy used a total of 19 bombs for shelling,” reads the report of the JFO Headquarters press center.

Ukrainian strongholds outside Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol),  Vodiane (19km north-east of Mariupol) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) came under grenade launcher, heavy machine gun and small arms fire.

One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in military hostilities over the past day.

According to the intelligence, two militants were killed, another four were wounded.

The situation in the JFO area remains absolutely controlled by the Ukrainian military.
