Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 16 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements nine times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day.

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Travneve (51km north-east of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reported.

The terrorists fired grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops near Malynove (19km north-east of Luhansk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Luhanske and Chermalyk. Defenders of Troitske and Luhanske came under fire from 120mm mortars.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in hostilities in last day.

According to the intelligence, four militants were killed and six more was wounded in past day.
