Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 16 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements five times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day.

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Travneve (51km north-east of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reported.

The terrorists fired grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops near Travneve and Zholobok, and 120mm mortars - near Novotoshkivske and Svitlodarsk.

Ukrainian soldiers were neither killed nor wounded in hostilities in last day.

Today, the illegal armed formations have already launched attacks on positions of the Joint Forces outside Zholobok, using 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
