Ukraine and Moldova discuss security situation in European region

Commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Nayev and Chief of the General Staff of the National Army of the Republic of Moldova Igor Cutie visited the city of Mariupol and discussed security issues in the European region, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s press service reports.

"Commander of the Joint Forces, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev held a working meeting with the Moldovan delegation headed by the Chief of the National Army of the Republic of Moldova, Brigadier General Igor Cutie as part of the visit of the delegation to the district of conducting Joint Forces Operation (Mariupol). During the meeting, the parties discussed security issues in the European region and around Ukraine," reads the report.

According to the Defense Ministry, Serhiy Nayev acquainted the guests with the situation in the JFO area and the Sea of Azov. He noted that Russia continues to maintain controlled instability in eastern Ukraine and enhance combat potential of troops deployed along the borders of Ukraine. Also, the Joint Forces Commander reported on the facts of the use of weapons of purely Russian production.
