Militants launched 21 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 21 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements six times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Lomakyne (15km north-east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Russian-occupation troops opened fire from weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In addition, the enemy fired 82mm mortars on JFO units outside Avdiivka, Pisky, Lomakyne and Luhanske. The Ukrainian strongholds near Luhanske came under 120mm mortar fire.

Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in last day.

According to the intelligence, three militants were killed and another two were wounded in last day.

Today, the illegal armed formations have already launched two attacks on Ukrainian troops near Lebedynske, using heavy machine guns and small arms.
