Militants launched 17 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 17 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements four times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Russian-occupation troops fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Militants used 120mm mortars and weapons on infantry fighting vehicles to shell JFO units outside Svitlodarsk; 82mm mortars - near Luhanske and Avdiivka. Four enemy attacks were launched on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka, using grenade launchers, small arms and 82mm mortars.

One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in last day.
