Ukrainian police officers meet with U.S. President Trump

The delegation of the National Police of Ukraine, which participates in the annual International Association of Chiefs of Police conference, was invited to a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

"The delegation of the National Police of Ukraine, which has been participating in the annual International Association of Chiefs of Police conference already for the third day, was invited to a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump," the press service of the National Police of Ukraine reports.

The participants in the meeting touched upon problematic issues of the fight of American police officers against crime, in particular: the growth of violent crimes, the need to combat organized crime groups and counter drug crimes.

“The issue of injuries among police officers is very painful both for America and Ukraine. According to the U.S. President, an attack on a police officer occurred every 9 minutes in the country in 2016,” Chief of the National Police of Ukraine, Serhiy Knyazev noted.

He added that American and Ukrainian police experienced similar problems despite the difference in location and strength.
