Militants launched 28 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 28 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements six times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Russian-occupation troops fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank guided weapons, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Terrorists launched three attacks on JFO units near Luhanske, Hnutove and Vodiane using 120mm mortars. In addition, illegal armed formations fired 82mm mortars, anti-tank guided weapons outside Hnutove. Servicemen near Vodiane came under fire from anti-tank guided weapons. Militants also launched attacks near Krymske, Troitske and Vodiane, using weapons on infantry fighting vehicles.

One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in last day. According to the intelligence, four militants was killed, eight more were wounded.

Today, militants have already launched two attacks on Ukrainian troops near Novotroitske and Vodiane, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
