Militants launched 34 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 34 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements six times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Syze (23km east of Luhansk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Zolote-4 (59km north-west of Luhansk), Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Russian-occupation troops fired 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft mounts, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Ukrainian positions near Hnutove came under artillery fire. The enemy opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars on JFO troops outside Hnutove, Novoluhanske. Russian mercenaries also shelled Ukrainian positions near Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske and Hnutove, using weapons on infantry fighting vehicles; outside Krymske and Hnutove, using ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft mounts.

Four Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in last day. According to the intelligence, two militants was killed, seven more were wounded.

Today, militants have already launched two attacks on Ukrainian troops near Novozvanivka and Luhanske, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
