Militants launched 24 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 24 attacks, including from weapons banned under the Minsk agreements, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Russian-occupation troops fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In addition, illegal armed formations shelled the JFO units outside Hnutove, using 82mm mortars.

Five Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in last day. According to the intelligence, two militants were killed, six more were wounded.

Today, militants have already launched attacks on Ukrainian troops near Krymske, using grenade launchers and small arms.
