Militants launched 22 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 22 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements thrice, on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops fired on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) and Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk),” reads the report of the JFO Headquarters press center.

The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian troops.

In particular, Russian-backed militants opened fired 82mm mortars on JFO positions outside Lebedynske and Shyrokyne. A Ukrainian stronghold near Krymske came under 120mm mortar fire.

Yesterday, at 6 a.m., Russian-occupation troops fired 122mm artillery on Shyrokyne, neglecting the Minsk peace accords. No casualties or damages were reported.

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported in last day.

Today, Russian-occupation troops have already launched four attacks on Ukrainian troops outside Krymske and Luhanske, using heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms. No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported.
