Poroshenko shows tests of Oskol rockets

The RS-80 Oskol rockets have successfully passed another stage of state trials, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said on Twitter.

"The RS-80 Oskol projectiles have successfully passed another stage of state trials. They can hit armored vehicles and fortifications of the enemy, have supersonic speed and are designed to equip helicopters, planes, and ground-based platforms," the head of state said.

The unguided RS-80 Oskol rockets were designed and manufactured by Artem State Joint-Stock Holding Company, part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.

The 80mm RS-80 Oskol rocket is designed to destroy the enemy's manpower, armored vehicles, fortifications, and other targets.
