Militants launched 25 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 25 attacks, using heavy weaponry twice, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Russian-occupation shelled Ukrainian positions outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

As noted, militants used grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. In addition, illegal armed formations fired 82mm mortars on JFO units outside Vodiane and Lebedynske in Mariupol direction. A stronghold near Krymske in Luhansk direction was shelled from weapons on infantry fighting vehicles.

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported in last day. According to intelligence, four militants were wounded.

Today, militants have already shelled Ukrainian troops twice outside Vodiane and Shyrokyne in Mariupol direction, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
