Militants launched 23 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 23 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Russian-occupation forces used weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms and sometimes 120mm and 82mm mortars and 122mm artillery to fire on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol),  Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in shelling and two more were injured in last day. According to the intelligence, three militants were killed and another seven were wounded.

In addition, one serviceman was wounded and another one was injured in explosive device blast.

Two more servicemen were killed and one was injured due to imprudence during explosive device running.

Today, militants have already opened fire twice on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol and Vodiane, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
