Militants launched 24 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 24 attacks, including four from heavy weapons, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day.

“Russian-occupation forces used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and sometimes weapons on infantry fighting vehicles to fire on the defenders of Artema (26km north of Luhansk), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Zalizne (39km north of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). In addition, the enemy used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka and Chermalyk and 120mm mortars – near Zalizne and Hnutove,” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in shelling in last day.

Today, militants have already opened fire four times on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol, Lebedynske and Vodiane.
