Militants launched 43 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 43 attacks, including six from heavy weapons, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Russian-occupation forces used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and sometimes weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, 120mm and 82mm mortars to fire on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). In addition, the enemy shelled Svitlodarsk and Hnutove, using 120mm mortars, and opened fire on defenders of Krymske, Luhanske and Hnutove, using 82mm mortars,” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in shelling in last day. According to the intelligence, two militants were killed and another three were wounded.

Today, militants have already opened fire three times on Ukrainian troops near Svitlodarsk, Pavlopol and Vodiane. At night, the enemy for the first time in several months used BM-21 Grad multiple launcher rocket systems. The shell bursts were recorded near the positions in the area of Svitlodarsk.
