OSCE SMM spots in Donbas new heavy weapons from Russia

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine has recorded the supply of new heavy weapons to the occupied territories.

"The logical conclusion of the announced facts of convoys of trucks and other equipment entering the occupied territory from the territory of the Russian Federation was a report on detection of new heavy weapons and munitions in the occupied territories. Thus, the OSCE SMM reports of August 11 and 12 inform about the deployment of 18 towed howitzers (eight 2A36 Giatsint-B, 152mm and ten 2A65 Msta-B, 152mm) north of Khrustalnyi," the JFO press center reports.

In addition, the OSCE SMM spotted an artillery reconnaissance vehicle (PRP-4 Nard) and 775 ammunition crates (some of which were assessed as new), as well as 118 crates of MLRS (BM-21) rockets

On August 11-12, the Russian armed forces stopped the SMM OSCE patrols in the occupied territories of Donetsk region and denied their passage to the areas of storage and deployment of weapons six times.
