Militants launched 41 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 41 attacks, including 11 from heavy weapons, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. The situation in the JFO area remained controlled.

“Russian-occupation forces used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and sometimes weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank guided missile, 122mm artillery and mortars to fire on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Pivnichne (44km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), Zalizne (39km north of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Ukrainian positions near Novotoshkivske came under 122mm artillery fire. The enemy shelled JFO units outside Zalizne, Pivnichne and Bohdanivka, using 120mm mortars. JFO troops near Novozvanivka, Troitske, Avdiivka and Vodiane came under 82mm mortar fire,” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in shelling in last day. According to the intelligence, two militants were killed and another five were wounded.

Today, militants have already opened fire twice on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol and Shyrokyne.
