Militants launched 36 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 36 attacks, including two from heavy weapons, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. The situation in the JFO area remains absolutely controlled.

“Russian-occupation forces used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and sometimes weapons on infantry fighting vehicles to fire on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Zalizne (39km north of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Ukrainian positions near Lebedynske and Shumiv came under 120mm mortar fire,” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in shelling in last day. According to the intelligence, one militant was killed and another four were wounded.

Today, militants have already opened fire twice on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol and Hnutove. Heavy weapons have not been used, no casualties have been reported.
