Militants launched 40 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 40 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine in last day. 

“Russian-backed militants launched 40 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the JFO area, using heavy weapons three times. Russian-occupation forces used mainly grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on the JFO units near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol),  Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk),Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Travneve, Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). In addition, the enemy fired 120mm and 82mm mortars near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Three Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in shelling in last day. According to the intelligence, one militant was killed and another four were wounded.

Today, militants have already opened fire on Ukrainian troops near Krymske, Svitlodarsk and Lebedynske.
