Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 18 times in last day

Militants launched 18 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 18 times. Heavy weapons weren’t used. Militants fired on Ukrainian troops outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Zhovte (17km north-west of Luhansk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk),  Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). The invaders tried by their provocative actions to force soldiers of the joint forces to open fire in response in order to further blame Ukraine for failing to comply with the announced ceasefire,” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

No casualties among Ukrainian troops in last day were reported.

According to the intelligence, three militants were killed and another one was wounded.

Today, militants have already opened fire on Ukrainian troops near Shyrokyne and Vodiane. One serviceman of the joint forces was wounded in shelling.
