Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 17 times in last day

Militants launched 17 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 17 times, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In Luhansk direction, the enemy used large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

In Svitlodarsk direction, Ukrainian positions near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) came under fire of grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In Donetsk and Mariupol directions, there was a decrease in the activity of militants compared with the previous days. Russian-backed militants shelled Ukrainian positions outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), where the enemy opened a single fire from heavy machine guns and small arms.

Unfortunately, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded.
