Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 20 times in last day

Militants launched 20 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 20 times, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In Luhansk and Svitlodarsk directions, Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Orikhove (75km north of Luhansk) and Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk) came under the enemy’s fire.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants shelled Ukrainian positions outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), using grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.

In Mariupol direction, the tense situation was observed in the area of Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk), where the enemy opened fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
