Latvia to continue healthcare program for Ukrainian servicepersons – Herashchenko

First Deputy Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Iryna Herashchenko says that Latvia will continue the program on providing healthcare assistance to Ukrainian servicemen.

She wrote this on her Facebook page following a meeting with Latvia’s Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs.

"I met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs. I thanked for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for the help in treatment of Ukrainian servicemen. By the way, Latvia is ready to continue the programs on providing medical assistance to servicepersons, including psychological one,” she wrote.

During the meeting, Herashchenko also informed about plans to establish a Ministry of Veterans Affairs in Ukraine and expressed hope for enhancing the cooperation on the issues of reintegration of military personnel into civilian life.
