Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 26 times in last day

Militants launched 26 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 26 times, using heavy weaponry banned under the Minsk agreements three times,” the report reads.

In Horlivka direction, the enemy tried to weaken the defensive positions of Ukrainian troops near Artemove (42km north-east of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, militants launched provocative attacks from small arms outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk).

The tense situation was also observed near Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) in Mariupol direction.

The units of the joint forces repealed the attacks of militants, who used artillery, mortars, infantry fighting vehicles and small arms, and did not allow the enemy to improve their tactical position.

"Three Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in fighting in last day," the Headquarters reports.

According to the intelligence, three militants were wounded.

On the night of June 20, the armed hostilities abated. The fighting continued only with the use of small arms. As of 7.00 a.m., no losses were reported.
