Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 28 times in last day

Militants launched 28 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 28 times, using mortars six times,” the report reads.

In Luhansk direction, the tense situation was observed outside Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk) and Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, the militants used small arms and grenade launchers near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk). Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded during hostilities.

In Mariupol direction, armed hostilities with the use of mortars took place outside Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol) and Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol).

As a result of concerted actions by the units of the Joint Forces, according to intelligence, one armored combat vehicle and GAZ-66 truck were destroyed, and five militants were wounded.

Overnight into Tuesday, the enemy violated ceasefire four times without using heavy weapons. No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported.
