Ukraine and Hungary agree to expand defence cooperation

Ukraine and Hungary have discussed the prospects for expanding security and defence cooperation.

Ukrainian Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak said this following the meeting with Hungarian Defence Minister Tibor Benko in Brussels on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have just finished the meeting with the Defence Minister of Hungary. We discussed the issues related to military cooperation between the defence agencies," Poltorak said.

He expressed hope for improvement in such cooperation, in particular in training of personnel, cyber security and advisory assistance in the military medicine reform.

During the meeting, Poltorak expressed concern to the Hungarian side about blocking the meetings of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the ministerial and highest levels.
