Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 38 times in last day

The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine remained difficult over the past day. The armed hostilities continued along the entire contact line.

"Russian-occupation forces, neglecting the Minsk agreements, violated the ceasefire regime 38 times, firing mortars on Ukrainian positions eight times," the report reads.

The tensest situation was observed near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol).

Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in fighting. They were delivered to hospital and provided with necessary medical assistance. According to the intelligence, two militants were killed and three more were wounded.

No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported today.
