Militants violated ceasefire 63 times in eastern Ukraine in last day

Over the past day, the situation in the Joint Force Operation area in Donbas remained difficult. The fighting did not stop along the entire contact line.

"The joint forces actively defended their positions in Luhansk direction outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). In Donetsk direction, the enemy scaled up their activities near Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) and Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk)," the report reads.

The fighting continued in the area of ​​ Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) industrial zone and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) as well as in Mariupol direction outside Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).

Over the past day, Russian-occupation troops, disregarding the international agreements, violated the ceasefire regime 63 times, using mortars and artillery in 20 cases. The units of the joint forces gave the adequate response.

Two Ukrainian defenders received shrapnel wounds in fighting yesterday. No casualties were reported among Ukrainian troops on May 14. The enemy's losses are being clarified.
