Ukrainian servicemen come under 120mm mortar fire

Ukrainian servicemen came under enemy fire in eastern Ukraine 14 times on May 10, Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Hutsuliak has said.

"Fourteen attacks on our strong points have been recorded in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. The enemy shelled out positions from 120mm and 82mm mortars near the villages of Artemove, Zaitseve and Prychepylivka in the Luhansk sector. In general, the occupiers launched 40 mines of different calibers at our positions," he said.

According to him, the enemy also used small arms and grenade launchers near Novozvanivka in the Luhansk sector and near Avdiyivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Opytne, Shyrokyne and Butivka mine in the Donetsk sector.

"Joint Forces units defended actively. Our military returned fire in six cases," Hutsuliak said.
