Militants launched 47 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 47 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). In addition, illegal armed formations used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell ATO troops outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk) and Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol). The enemy also used antitank missile systems in the area of Vodiane.

In Luhansk direction, terrorists fired 122mm artillery on Ukrainian strongholds near Prychepylivka (50km north-west of Luhansk), 82mm mortars – near Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different types and antiaircraft mounts – near Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk). Defenders of Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) came under small arms fire.

One Ukrainian soldier was wounded and another one was injured in enemy shelling in last day.
