Militants launched 30 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 30 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian positions near Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol). Illegal armed formations also opened fire from grenade launchers of different systems and small arms on ATO troops outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), heavy machine guns – near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), small arms – near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk). Ukrainian strongholds outside Pavlopol and Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) came under sniper fire.

In Luhansk direction, terrorists fired 120mm mortars at ATO troops near Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). Militants also used 82mm mortars to shell ATO troops near Novhorodske, Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Novoselivka, grenade launchers of different systems – outside Troitske, Luhanske and Novoselivka. Russian-occupation troops also fired heavy machine guns near Luhanske and Troitske, weapons on infantry combat vehicles and small arms – outside Novhorodske.

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported in last day.
