Militants launched 35 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 35 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 120mm mortars on ATO positions near Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk). Ukrainian strongholds outside Pisky and Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) came under 82mm mortar fire. Russian-occupation formations also opened fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms at Ukrainian positions near Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Avdiivka, Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk). In addition, terrorists used small arms outside Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol).

In Luhansk direction, terrorists fired grenade launchers at ATO troops near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Travneve and Artema.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in enemy shelling.
