Ukraine’s Interior Ministry to cooperate with Turkey in countering terrorism and extremism

The Interior Ministry of Ukraine will cooperate with Turkey in ​​countering terrorism and extremism.

This was stated during the meeting of Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov with Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu on April 12, the press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reports.

"Ukraine experiences difficult times as we have the external enemy and terrorist threats inside the country. Turkey has a great experience in effectively managing the activities of police units and gendarmerie in countering terrorism and extremism. This experience needs to be adopted by the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine," Avakov said.

As the minister noted, Turkey's support for ensuring secure environment in Ukraine is very important.

Turkey is ready to cooperate with Ukraine in internal security issues, Suleiman Soylu added.
