Militants launched 35 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants continue to violate the Easter ceasefire. The aggressor launched 35 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian strongholds near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). In addition, the enemy used weapons on infantry combat vehicles near Bohdanivka, heavy machine guns – outside Vodiane, Pyshchevyk and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), small arms – on defenders of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). Ukrainian troops outside Shyrokyne also came under sniper fire.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian positions outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). ATO troops near Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) came under grenade launcher, heavy machine gun and sniper fire. The aggressor also opened fire from grenade launchers near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Valuiske (20km north-east of Luhansk).

As a result of the armed hostilities, five Ukrainian soldiers were wounded. They were promptly delivered to hospitals and provided with necessary medical assistance.
