Militants launched 24 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants continue to violate the Easter ceasefire. The aggressor launched 24 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 82mm mortars at Ukrainian positions near Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), grenade launchers – near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol). ATO troops outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Vodiane and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk) came under sniper and small arms fire. The enemy also used heavy machine guns near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk). Positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine outside Marinka, Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Avdiivka, Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk) and Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) came under small arms fire.

In Luhansk direction, militants used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), grenade launchers – outside Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk).

As a result of the enemy fire, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
