Militants launched 32 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 32 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired grenade launchers of different types at Ukrainian positions near Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol). Ukrainian strongholds outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) came under heavy machine gun and small arms fire. The enemy also used infantry combat vehicles to launch attacks on ATO troops in Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk). Russian-backed militants shelled positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), using small arms.

In Luhansk direction, the aggressor used 82mm mortars to fire at defenders of Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – at Ukrainian positions near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), heavy machine guns and small arms –outside Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk).
