Two Ukrainian soldiers wounded in ATO area over past day

One Ukrainian soldier was wounded and another one was injured in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesman for ATO issues Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"As a result of enemy attacks, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded and another one was injured. They were taken to the hospital where needed medical assistance was provided to them," Hutsuliak said.

He also noted that Russian-backed militants launched three targeted attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Luhansk direction, and two – in Donetsk direction. The Ukrainian side observed the ceasefire regime and did not return fire.
