OSCE records nearly 80 explosions in eastern Ukraine

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM) to Ukraine has  recorded 79 explosions in Donbas between 19.30 on March 5 and 19.30 on March 6, according to the organization's report for March 7.

"In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded about the same number of ceasefire violations, including, however, more explosions (42), compared with the previous 24 hours (about 25 explosions)… In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including, however, fewer explosions (37), compared with the previous 24 hours (57 explosions)," observers said

"In government-controlled areas, the SMM observed one armored reconnaissance vehicle (BRDM-2) about 2.5 km north of Muratove (51 km north-west of Luhansk), and a Mi-8 helicopter flying north to south over the entry-exit checkpoint in Maryinka (23 km south-west of Donetsk)," the report says.

In areas outside of government control, the SMM saw one armored personnel carrier (APC) (MT-LB) about 1.5 km south-west of Molodizhne (63 km north-west of Luhansk) and an APC (MT-LB) traveling north-west on road T0504 near Irmino (54 km west of Luhansk).
