Ukroboronprom chief names priority tasks for state concern

Pavlo Bukin, the newly appointed director general of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, has named priority tasks for the state agency, the concern's press service has reported.

"A priority of the concern is the high-quality and timely implementation of the state defense order, the creation of a production cycle of critical technologies and growth of the economic efficiency of the concern's enterprises," Bukin said.

In addition, he drew attention to the technological development of the enterprise. "The current staff of 286 people is too large and should be reduced without losing efficiency. Only the best and most trained employees should be left. Such people will receive competitive wages for their work. The funds saved on reducing maintenance expenses will be spent on development," he said.

On February 21, President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree appointing Bukin as director general of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.
