Militants launched 20 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 20 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Luhansk direction, militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers and machine guns to launch attacks on Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). The shelling of this front-line area lasted over five hours. In addition, the illegal armed formations used mortars of various calibers and a whole arsenal of infantry weapons to shell Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). The militants also opened fire from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk). The enemy violated the ceasefire near Zalizne, Malynove and Novooleksandrivka.

In Donetsk direction, militants used large-caliber machine guns and small arms to fire at Ukrainian positions near Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk).

As a result of the enemy shelling, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded and another one was injured.
