Militants launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 10 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations fired 82mm mortars, heavy machine guns and weapons on infantry combat vehicles near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, militants used 122mm artillery and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, small arms and weapons on infantry combat vehicles to launch attacks outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk). In addition, Ukrainian troops came under heavy machine gun fire near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Russian mercenaries also used 82mm mortars and grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian positions near Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk).

As a result of the enemy shelling, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed and another one was injured.
