Militants launched 14 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 14 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy violated ceasefire 14 times over the past day. Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded and another one was injured as a result of the enemy shelling,” the report reads.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy fired 120mm and 82mm mortars at Ukrainian positions outside Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), violating the Minsk agreements. ATO troops also came under 82mm mortar fire outside Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and under 120mm mortar fire outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). In addition, the militants used IFV and small arms to shell ATO positions near Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, the enemy shelled Ukrainian defenders near Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), using mortars of 120mm caliber, anti-aircraft guns and large-caliber machine guns. ATO troops near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk) and Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) came under anti-tank missile system and grenade launcher fire. The militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to fire at Ukrainian strongholds outside Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk) and Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk).
